SAF Vaisakhi Fest 2019

Please join us on April 14, 2019 from 12-5pm at the Central City Plaza (SFU Entrance) for “SAF Vaisakhi Fest,” a free community event that celebrates and showcases Sikh traditions.

This event will showcase Vaisakhi through various activities that include: turban tying, martial arts (Gatka) performances, live music, children’s activities, photo booth and an information booth that provide the public with information about Vaisakhi and Sikhism. This event allows SAF to celebrate the religious festival of Vaisakhi with the public, while also sharing knowledge and awareness to those that may not know who Sikhs are or what Vaisakhi is.

This event also allows our organization to spread awareness about our charitable initiatives with individuals that may be interested as well. The overall goal of this event is to share and highlight the various aspects of who Sikhs are and what Vaisakhi is with those of diverse backgrounds, as a way to provide education and knowledge to those that wish to know more. So please join us in this celebration at SAF Vaisakhi Fest on Sunday April 14th 2019.
